Some
Thought it
Strange
I could befriend
Both
High noon and moon together,
But
They represented
Respites
Where long ghostly shadows
Of tragedy and guilt
Could not smother me
In blankets of
Despair.
Thought it
Strange
I could befriend
Both
High noon and moon together,
But
They represented
Respites
Where long ghostly shadows
Of tragedy and guilt
Could not smother me
In blankets of
Despair.

Times in my life, as perhaps in every life, a little respite poured enough courage in my cup to get me through the next 12 hours. Your verse evoked that. The image is stunningly ideal as illustration. I understand that beautiful girl, too.
