Two for One (Poets Rally 43)

Rose scented candles
wait for
a flicker
            of flame.

In stillness
of silent readiness
they smell
like  roses
slouching in dark.

_____

Cobwebbed chambers,
  indolent heart,
  linger for impulse,
                            rots
  loitering for life
  that left the building.

Underneath these images, I get the sense of waiting in vain for...something. Well written!

I dig the sense of suspense here, as if the speaker is asking a question that the reader must answer. Excellent!

Well crafted and I love the picture. How I long to be at the foot of that tree.

I liked the feel to this one.

'Roses slouching in the dark'. Cracking line.

I like the slouching roses.
Ya suppose the flames have also left the building?

I'm Just a Man (Recording Experiment ... I can't sing)

I am in the mood to change my tree to a cubic version.
