There’s rays
That stray
From the straight line
Of the sun
Pouring light
On my night
When darkness spills
From your eyes
Hope explodes
On curved roads
Through old leaves
Of this dream
I believe
In love
Though our bed stays half made
Harp strings
Slits of bright
Vibrate soft
Angel’s sing
Heart’s sure
As I tour
Memories
Of green days
I believe
In love
Though granite doesn’t lie
There’s rays
That stray
From the straight line
Of the sun

Cheers for the faith in love and the lovely sun rays! Very inspirational and uplifting poem, with the hint of hope for something nice to happen!
In the morning, as freshness radiates...Nicely written with a great flow of vision...My favorite were the verses..
'Harp strings

We all stray from straight lines at times...take the light with us...nice lovely verse.
SUCH A GLORIOUS poem. :] Fantastic words and rhyme that sparkle in the eye of my ear. :] xx
lovely ...thanks for sharing
Wow. I love your writing. Terrific. The photo is gorgeous.
Deep and filled with compassion...
what a beautiful poem...
brilliantly expressed ... loved it
This is such a lovely poem. I've enjoyed reading so many of your poems. Each one of us strays from the sun light sometimes, and each one of us has met a ray of sunlight that strays from the sun light too, and thank God for those angels. Beautiful poem, a great job.
WOW! Loved this.love the photo you chose as well. great write
I love the compactness of this poem; loved the words, the layout, everything. Wonderful.
Nicely crafted piece!! :-)
This is beautiful is this about the death of a loved one? The image of the half-made bed, the granite that does not lie. That's how interpreted and it really touched me.
Beautifully written. Love the images and structure of this poem.
As lovely as a tree. Like the great one in the picture when it was young.
Very beautiful Henry! (Thanks for stopping by my blog today, too!!)

...Was it a car crash?
I'm just wondering about the curved roads.
Beautiful.
Beautifully written...great pic!
A beautiful refrain you tie in "I believe in love" thought the flow with this line:
"Though our bed stays half made"
was particularly strong. Great write ~ Rose
beautiful poem :)
Wow. A range of emotion expressed: "green days" (life/promise), "hope explodes" (disappointment), "darkness spills" (sadness), and especially gripping was "granite doesn't lie" (death/sorrow). Yet what a beautiful statement in "I believe in love."
I hope you don't mind...I'm lifting that lie to write something, myself.
Beautiful, Henry. Truly beautiful.
~Paula
